Retirement Planning

The ever-changing world of pensions can seem daunting to clients. Whether it’s changing legislation or the fact that you may have several pots from various employers, there is a lot to consider in whether your pensions will support the retirement you are hoping for.

Our advisers are highly qualified to understand the various changes the pension world has been through and no doubt will continue to see.

We take a lot of time to get to know your plans for retirement and what you expect from your lifestyle after work. We consider the existing policies you have and whether these are enough to meet your objectives.

From meeting with you and analysing your current affairs, we can produce a tailored recommendation which will plan out how to meet your objectives. You may be looking for:

  • Consolidating your pensions into one pot
  • Using pensions as a business exit strategy
  • Understanding your pensions
  • Knowing the options, you have for retirement

Alongside your objectives, we will also consider the level of risk you are willing to take. There is no right or wrong risk profile, simply it is about what you are comfortable and able to take.

For clients that are happy to accept a level of investment risk to attract higher potential returns, we design and maintain a range of model portfolios for our clients to use. We regularly run our own in-house research and analysis of the various investments available in the market and combine these to generate an independent model portfolio. Each model will differ slightly to cater for the various attitudes to risk that clients may have.

Alongside our models, we benefit from being independent, in that we are able to research and recommend a wide range of pensions that could be ideal for clients to use.

The value of investments can go down as well as up. You could get back less than you originally invest. It is important to seek independent financial advice before taking our any savings or investment product so that the relevant risks can be highlighted to you.
